Frequently asked questions
Everything we get asked about Tenants & Doors, in one place.
When does it launch?
We’re in private beta now and inviting waitlist members in small batches. Joining the list is how you get in — we email you when your spot opens, and you can start right away.
What will it cost?
Tenants and technicians never pay anything. Property managers and property owners pay a subscription based on portfolio size. Waitlist members get founding pricing, locked in for the first year after their account is created.
Can I collect rent through it?
That’s landing with launch. Rent terms live on the lease you already set up, charges post on schedule, and tenants pay from their portal by bank transfer or card — one-time or autopay. Waitlist members get it as soon as it opens.
Does it track appliances and equipment?
Yes. Every unit carries its assets — water heaters, HVAC, appliances, roofs — with make, model, serial, photos, install date, and warranty window. Service requests link back to the asset they touched, so repair history accumulates where you’ll actually look for it.
Do my tenants have to sign up for anything?
They get an invite link from you — no public signup, no separate account to hunt down. Their portal shows their lease and their service requests, nothing else.
I’m a contractor, not a landlord. Is this for me?
Yes. Service companies self-register on the vendor marketplace, get approved, and can bid on open jobs from every manager and owner in the system. Your first team member becomes the company owner and can add technicians from there.
Can I use it if I only own a couple of units?
That’s a common case. Property owners can self-manage — you get a subscription and act as your own manager — or bring in a property manager later without moving your data.
What happens to my data?
Each account’s data is isolated at the database level, not just in the app. We don’t sell it, and we don’t share your email with vendors. You can export or delete it whenever you want.
